The children of Fanuc Hungary employees spent five days with us in an exciting summer camp, where they got an insight into the world of programming and robotics. During the camp, they had a variety of colourful programming experiences: the children programmed TrueTrue, Sphero indi, intelino, MatataStudio VinciBot, VEX Robotics, HP Robots, MatataStudio Matatalab, and Cubico robots with colours, apps and blocks. Programming the ArTeC robots, the younger students learned the basics of robotics on an icon-based interface, while the older students learned on a Scratch-based programming interface. And the youngest campers built working but not yet programmed structures, so they could experience the joy of creative building with their own hands.
The week culminated in a final demonstration, where the children excitedly showed their parents, grandparents and siblings the robots they had created and programmed. After the presentation, all participants received certificates in recognition of their enthusiasm and perseverance throughout the week.
We are proud to have been part of such a successful camp, which not only aimed at developing programming skills, but also gave the children a shared experience of teamwork and creativity. We are happy to offer similar tailor-made programmes and sessions to other large companies, so that more children can experience the joy of technology and creativity.
